Week 1 Discussion

Walden’s Student Readiness Orientation

Embarking on this educational journey may raise numerous queries and perhaps some reservations. Questions like, “How do I effectively navigate the online classroom?” or “What steps should I take to access the library in this virtual environment?” can be common. The Student Readiness Orientation (SRO) minicourse, accessible on your MyWalden page, is designed to address these concerns. It offers solutions to such inquiries and ensures that you grasp the essentials of navigating the online classroom and making the most of the resources available to you as a Walden student.

Module 1 (Week 1): NURS – 6003 Networking for Academic and Professional Success

Assess your preparedness for online learning through the Readiness Check. The questions featured in the Quiz are extracted from the readiness check within the SRO.

Navigate to the Week 1 Quiz link after carefully reviewing the instructions.

The Readiness Check comprises 15 questions in various formats, including true/false and multiple-choice. If your score is 12 or below, consider retaking the exam. You are allowed to retake it as many times as necessary to achieve your desired score, with the highest score being recorded. To retake the Quiz, simply click on “Take Test Again” (though it may not appear as a hyperlink, it functions as one when clicked on).

To review the questions you answered correctly and those you missed, access your score in the “My Grades” area.

Preparation Steps:

  1. Familiarize yourself with Walden’s SRO located on your MyWalden page.
  2. Module 1 (Week 1): NURS – 6003 Networking for Academic and Professional Success
